Laughing Lion Design

February 24, 2011 | by admin in illustration

Laughing Lion Design is the home of Jennifer Farley’s design and illustration portfolio. She also been instructing in Photoshop and Illustrator for over eight years. As well as talking the talk, she walks the walk by using Photoshop and Illustrator on a daily basis for her design work. For anyone interested, there are over 100 free tutorials on the Laughing Lion Design blog—everything from how to create a simple logo design to how to convert a photograph to black and white using calculations. More recently, she has moved into freelance illustration and has written and illustrated her first children’s picture book.

I really love the photo illustrations with a mixture of pixels and vectors. I sure hope more of these ingenious works are forthcoming!

Design Intellection is a small web design company making the web a better place. Based in Louisville, David Yeiser designs and develops websites for mobile and desktop using industry best-practices. His bent is towards clean and simple design, making websites that are effective and beautiful. He is truly passionate about the process of design—the thinking in the beginning that boils the pot over into a fully-functional design. This is so very evident in his blog posts and services page—an information designer after my own heart!

Designed to be easy to read, the Design Intellection website is built with HTML5 & CSS3, is powered by Django and uses jQuery to accomplish some neat techniques (check out that tab navigation on the right side).
