Our mission is to showcase original creativity, regardless of the medium. If you’d like to be considered for the Website Bakery showcase, please let us know. While we’re not able to respond to every submission, we will alert you if your submission is accepted and posted. We reserve the right to publish submissions at our own discretion. Paid editorial selections are not accepted.
For handmade products, we look at originally as well as great photography. For web design, we look for originality, adherence to design and usability standards, form and shape, aesthetics, attention to detail in macro and micro typography, structure, hierarchy and navigation, functionality, interactivity, overall brand experience, well-written content, calls-to-action and how successfully the strategy and concept idea is communicated. We focus less on technical execution. The overall experience should encompass the things listed above to make it into the showcase, but also include the intangibles that make a person want to stay and explore.
Reminder, to be seriously considered, provide an official writeup and artist/designer bio. To be considered more quickly, post approved creator bios, project case studies, links to Twitter/Flickr/blog and any other pertinent content in the form’s description area.
